Valentines Day Songs from the Heart

We do not celebrate Valentines Day (much). We comment on the fact that it is Valentines Day and that we are choosing not to participate in any way. We take a stand and make a point that we do not need to be told to appreciate each other or to buy each other gifts. Shouldn’t we be doing that every day we say.

However, we did play each other a “love song” from each of our music collections.

I chose the most tacky one I could find – Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton: The Right Combination (yes I actually own The Essential Porter and Dolly CD)

George chose a couple that were a little more hip – Waterboys: A Man is in Love and State Broadcasters: Archeological Dig

If you had to choose a love song right now to inspire some connection and appreciation from someone, I wonder what you would choose?

Let the love shine bright in your life (with or without a love song and with or without a dedicated partner), Betty-Rose
